Denver: RTD’s commuter train to Denver International Airport opens
DENVER- Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) officially launched the A Line commuter rail, connecting downtown Denver to one of the busiest airports in the United States.
Denver RTD is amidst a $7 billion program to add 122 miles of new commuter and light rail, 18 miles of bus rapid transit service, and enhanced bus service. Three new rapid rail lines serving suburban Denver are set to open later in 2016.

The existing 48 miles of light rail on the C, D, E, F, H and W Lines are doubling to almost 100 miles of rail with the opening of the University of Colorado A Line, and the B, G, and R rail lines in 2016.
7 rail lines service 52 stations along the Denver’s Southeast, Southwest, West and East rail corridors.

FasTracks is RTD’s voter-approved transit expansion program — the largest in the nation — transforming transportation through the Denver metro area.
In January 2016, RTD launched the Flatiron Flyer Bus Rapid Transit service, in April 2016 RTD opened the University of Colorado A Line rail service between Union Station and Denver International Airport, and later in the year we will be opening the B Line, G Line, and R Line – all part of the FasTracks program.
